Biker club’s cheque boost for Birthright

More swimming lessons and school holiday camps will be arranged through
Birthright Wanganui thanks to the generosity of a local motorcycle club.
Birthright recently received a cheque for $1829.06 from the Triumph Motorcycle
Club after its annual charity ride and auction.
Birthright manager Barbara Young said her organisation was “just over the moon”.
“We appreciate that Birthright was thought of,” she said.
Triumph Motorcycle Club committee member Malcolm Skinner led about 60 people on
the 50km club charity ride to Himatangi in late August.
Mr Skinner said it was a good day out.
“It was a bit wet on the ride … but it was T-shirt weather in Himatangi,” he
said.
